Conference and Hotel Accommodations

The Conference proceedings will occur at the award-winning Sheraton Sand Key Resort, 1160 Gulf Boulevard, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767, located on the Gulf of Mexico, just 21 miles west of Tampa International Airport. However due to the overwhelming response, both Sheraton Sand Key Resort and Marriott Suites Clearwater Beach on Sand Key are sold out.

Additional Accommodations and OverflowHotel: Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites – Clearwater Beach, 521 S. Gulfview Blvd., (727) 447-6461. The special conference rate is $169 for city/island view suites with 2 queen beds and $189.00 for gulf/front view suites with 2 queen beds for reservations placed before Jan. 28, 2008.

The Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy at Stetson University College of Law has created The Facilitator Award, which may be presented annually to higher education administrators who have embodied the values and principles articulated by Professors Peter F. Lake and Robert D. Bickel in The Rights and Responsibilities of the Modern University. Please join us on Sunday afternoon for the presentation of the inaugural awards to the May 1970 Kent State University Faculty Marshals, represented by Dr. Jerry Lewis, and Kevin Jackson, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at Texas A&M University.
