Native American Rights Fund: Law Library
The National Indian Law Library (NILL) is a public law library devoted to federal Indian and tribal law. Our mission is to develop and make accessible a unique and valuable collection of Indian law resources and other information relating to Native Americans. NILL places special emphasis on fulfilling the information needs of Indian law advocates and others working on behalf of Native Americans.

National Tribal Justice Resource Center
A Project of the National American Indian Court Judges Association. This is a great resource! You can find a lot of good information here, including codes and constitutions, tribal court opinions, Supreme Court decisions, federal statutes, and basic tribal laws. Just click on “Legal Research” or “Legal Issues” on the top tool bar of the homepage

National Indian Child Welfare Association
(NICWA) is the most comprehensive source of information on American Indian child welfare and works on behalf of Indian children and families. NICWA provides public policy, research, and advocacy; information and training on Indian child welfare; and community development services to a broad national audience including tribal governments and programs, state child welfare agencies, and other organizations, agencies, and professionals interested in the field of Indian child welfare.

National Congress of American Indians
Serving as the major national tribal government organization, NCAI is positioned to monitor federal policy and coordinated efforts to inform federal decisions that affect tribal government interests.

American Indian Policy Center
Provides government leaders, policy makers and the public with accurate information about the legal and political history of American Indian nations, and the contemporary situation for American Indians.

The Nation's Leading American Indian News Source
This site contains a basic search function that covers the last two weeks. If there is no return on your search, you are prompted to search the archives where you can specify the search by category (editorial, feature, news, etc), author, date range, and phrase.

Native American Times (some free and many for-fee articles)
This site also has basic and “advanced” search functions. But for now the “advanced” only offers word / phrase searching that can be narrowed by date range.

Indianz.com: An internet resource of news and posts.

DATABASES
Native American tribal law resources on LexisNexis carry include: the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribal courts, the Crow tribal court, the Fort Peck tribal court, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee tribal courts. Most of these can be found on lexis.com by going through the following path:

Under the Native American Law area, Lexis has also included the Department of the Interior Solicitor's opinions for Native American affairs. You can find these here:
