Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Ian moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2000 to attend the University of South Florida. While there, he was a member of Golden Key International Honor Society and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Ian graduated cum laude from USF in 2004 with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Economics. He enrolled at Stetson University College of Law in fall 2006 and joined the Stetson Law Review one year later. As a member of Law Review, Ian was awarded the St. Petersburg Times Award for Best Write-On Competition Paper. Additionally, Ian previously served as a Notes and Comments Editor before being elected Editor in Chief, a position he currently serves until May 2009. Elsewhere on campus, Ian served as a class representative for the Student Bar Association and is currently a member of Phi Delta Phi. Ian worked as a summer associate for Fowler White Boggs Banker in Tampa during the summer of 2008 and current serves as a federal judicial intern for The Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich. Ian will graduate in May 2009.
