Ashley Elmore Drew is a third-year student at Stetson University College of Law. Originally from Indialantic, FL, she earned her BA and MA from University of Central Florida in Applied Sociology where her academic interests were focused on inequality and social stratification. Prior to entering law school she taught upper division sociology electives at UCF. At Stetson she has held leadership positions in American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA) and Amnesty International. During Summer 2007 she joined Stetson Law Review and clerked for the Galewski Law Group. During Summer 2008 she interned for The Honorable Judge Amy Williams and The Honorable Judge Mark Shames in the Pinellas County Civil Division. In May 2008 she assumed the duties of Research Editor. Her law review paper was entitled Balancing Justice: Sentencing in the Special Court of Sierra Leone. Ashley hopes to pursue a career in litigation and plans on being active in the area of veteran’s benefits.
